For Claude, ChatGPT and any MCP client
A coffee log for your AI assistant.
Say what you brewed and how it tasted. Brew MCP keeps the bag, the grinder and the plan, and writes the next one. Free.
Works in Claude on web, desktop and phone, in ChatGPT, in Claude Code, and in any client that speaks MCP with OAuth.

Why
Apps record. Assistants reason. Neither remembers your coffee.
Coffee apps are forms
Beans, dose, grind, time, notes, each in its own field, every morning. They keep a record but they do not think about it, and most people stop filling them in within a week.
Assistants forget
Claude already knows coffee and can reason about a sour cup. But it starts every chat blank, and left to itself it changes three things at once and learns nothing.
Brew MCP joins the two
Memory and a method for the assistant you already talk to. What is on your counter, in your own notation, and the rules for moving one lever at a time and stopping once a bag is right. No new app, no catalogue to fit your gear into. And it is free: you already pay for an assistant, so nobody should charge you for a second one that only knows coffee.
The point is not a perfect cup on day one. It is never re-dialing a coffee that was already right.
Product
Everything a cup depends on, remembered.
Your assistant forgets between chats. Brew MCP is the memory it reads from and writes to, so each morning starts where the last one ended.
Bags
Roaster, coffee, roast date, process, origin. Age is counted from roast and paused while a bag is frozen.
Grinders, in your notation
"1.2.3", "18", "2 + 12". Settings are stored the way you say them and read back the same way, never converted to clicks.
Rigs and water
Named setups: method, grinder, brewer, filter, water. A plan that says "Kitchen V60" means something exact.
Plans
Settings, why, and what to expect. One pending plan per bag and rig, edited when you change your mind rather than stacked.
Brews
Verdict, time, what deviated, notes. Correct a log afterwards or discard it; the plan stays as the record of intent.
The brew card
Runs the recipe on a clock, records your marks, takes the verdict with a few taps. Resumes from the server if the screen slept.
How it works
Three things you already do.
Describe your setup once
"My grinder is a Timemore C3. I brew on a plastic V60 with Cafec filters and Brita water." Your assistant fills in what it knows and asks about what it does not.
Say how the cup was
"Slightly sour, 2:50." That is a full log: verdict, time, and everything that was planned. Or tap it in on the card.
Get the next plan
Every log ends with the next plan written down. A new chat tomorrow, with no memory of today, hands you the same plan.
Method
One lever at a time.
Dialing in goes wrong when three things change at once and nothing is learned. Brew MCP gives your assistant a method and the history to apply it across days, so each cup answers one question.
Your assistant does the reasoning. Brew MCP supplies the memory, the rules, and the arithmetic where a setting is a plain number.
- Sour means finer, bitter means coarser.Grind first. Ratio and temperature only when grind has had its turns, or when the cup is hollow rather than sour.
- How strongly you say it sets the step.Slightly is one step, clearly repeats the last move, very doubles it. A reversal halves it.
- A botched cup is not evidence.Mark it unreliable. It stays in the log and never moves a lever.
- Two balanced cups lock the bag.The experimenting stops. A locked bag is only nudged for age, and only when you say the cup is fading.
